Christian worship artist Chris Tomlin winds up his Indescribable Tour just in time to snag GMA’s 2006 Songwriter of the Year nomination.
The winter doldrums haven't tagged Chris Tomlin. His Indescribable Tour wrapped up last month after reaching over 117,000 attendees, and now the Gospel Music Association has nominated him again for Songwriter of the Year, his 10th nomination. He's also in the running for 2006 Artist and Male Vocalist of the Year, as well as appearing as a featured performer on the 37th Annual Awards beginning April 5 at the Grand Ole Opry House.
His "How Great Is Our God," from Gold-certified CD "Arriving," is No. 1 this week on the R&R monitored, Billboard and CRW AC charts. It is his third No. 1 song from the album, and all three, including, "Holy Is the Lord" and "Indescribable," are nominated for Dove awards in both the Song and the Worship Song of the Year categories. No rest for the weary, huh, Chris? I'm guessing his Spring will be equally jammin'. Believers might want to pray for strength and energy for this worship warrior.
