Out of the Backstreet Boys and into the Christian music scene, Brian Littrell’s new album, “Welcome Home,” is sure to please the Christian pop market.
Ex-Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell is used to pop success. The Boys sold over 75 million records in their heyday. But he's on a new path now, and it looks to be received just as well. His remake last summer of "In Christ Alone" became a No. 1 radio single and he's following it up with debut album, "Welcome Home," expected this spring. Littrell says this has been his dream since his early choir days in Port Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington, Ky. "Welcome Home" recognizes and celebrates his source of hope. Straight ahead pop, the record rejoices in God's unequivocal love for humanity and urges listeners on to their higher calling. "I've been writing Christian music for along time, " Littrell shares, "and now I have the opportunity to share these songs with others. I'm a family guy making music for the family." Look for him at the summer Christian festival as he tours to support this new project.
