Youth Alive, Quick Artist Agency, Compassion International and Slanted Recording artist Caleb Rowden launch SEND ME TOUR 2007.
The launch is in conjunction with the January radio release of the song "Send Me." In 2006 twenty-four year young Caleb Rowden made his entrance into the crowded CCM market with his first single, “You Are Holy.” The vertical worship track from debut album 'Free from Ordinary" (See Suite review here). made an impressive climb up the AC charts with heavy play in major markets and boasted a three week run at #1 on KLTY in Dallas. Rowden does not fit the traditional “worship artist” mold but it does not take long to hear the heart of this passionate worshipper. Caleb recently began his new position as Worship and Creative Arts Director at Christian Chapel in Columbia, MO. When asked, why hire a recording artist as your worship leader? Lead Pastor John Battaglia responded, “Caleb has the heart of a worshiper and the attitude of a servant. My first encounter with Caleb’s album was capturing. He grabbed my attention and God received my worship. The combination of Christ-centered lyrics and the fresh sound Caleb and band produced convinced me that Caleb was the worship leader who can help our church effectively reach our city and this generation in a relevant and passionate way. After experiencing worship services led by Caleb, the deal was sealed; he is the right person for our church.” Caleb will join an impressive list of artists who serve in their local church while, at the same time, delivering their music and message to audiences through live concerts. The New Year also marks the beginning of a very unique series of concerts called SEND ME TOUR 2007. The message of the song "Send Me, I am ready, I am waiting, SEND ME," will be the thread that connects each song and spoken word. Based on Isaiah Chapter 6 the mission will be to connect pre-Christians to God and challenge believers to: Reach Up – Proclaim “God is Holy.” Isaiah 6: 3&4 Reach In – Acknowledge our lostness and the power of redemption. Isaiah 6: 5-7 Reach Out – Respond to God’s voice, “I’ll go, SEND ME!” Isaiah 6:8 Caleb loves worship in a church setting but believes strongly, “It is time we move our act of worship outside the sanctuary and allow life to be His sanctuary and our lifestyles to become His podium. As evangelical Christians we cannot become selfish in our relationship with God but must act quickly to share the Good News with others. When the media is talking more about Armageddon than the church we have to ask ourselves, what comes after worship? Statistics show that 92% of young adults walk away from their relationship with God after they leave high school. “In response to this, Caleb and Youth Alive (www.yausa.com ) are working together to help reverse this tragedy. Caleb will challenge students to make themselves available to be sent back to their campus to share the love of Christ. Together it’s our desire to see students raised to be life-long disciples of Christ” said Jay Mooney, Youth Alive. SEND ME TOUR will challenge all ages to join with people from all around the world in sharing the salvation and hope that comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In addition to a great concert with the Caleb Rowden Band audiences will have the chance to cheer on their favorite local band as they perform on stage in the Christian Music’s 2007 New Artist Search. Auditions will be held prior to the concert and can be tracked on My Space. Finalist chosen in each city will perform with Caleb and the video audition will be judged by industry professionals who will select the CM New Artist for 2007. The grand prize will be a professionally produced demo package which includes make up, photo shoot, graphic design, studio time, and 1 on 1 interview with WC Management, Quick Artist Agency and Slanted Records.
