Jadon Lavik's new CD, "Life on the Inside," is pure pleasure, from a fresh new artist you don't want to miss.

Jadon Lavik's sophomore CD, "Life on the Inside," released just this March, is professionalism personified. Produced by a stellar all-stars team, it positively gleams with excellence, like a luminous white bowl of melted butter. But melted butter with great chops.

It's the vocals you notice first, smooth as Jack Johnson with a bit of James Taylor's soulfulness. Harmonically, he zigs when you thought there was a zag coming. His thirteen original acoustic pop-rock songs contain not a clunker among them, and include his popular radio single "What If." There's a lot of charm on this album, a touch of whimsy, (and I'm a big fan of the whimsy), but there's also a rock solid faith message that is as uplifting as it is honest.

"Life on the Inside is my take on Christian struggles and the Christian walk," says Lavik.

"These songs are about aligning my day-to-day life with the way it should be." I think the way it should be is Jadon Lavik everyday. It's a pop gem with a vertical slant, or a vertical gem with a pop slant. Either way, don't miss it!
