Ready for festival season? Pack up the tent: Creation Festivals just released their official line-up for the 29th Annual Northeast and Northwest events.
The largest outdoor Christian music and teaching festival in the country, Creation Northeast rocks June 27th – 30th at the Agape Farm in the mountains of Mount Union, PA., and Creation Northwest’s 10th Anniversary takes place at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, WA July 25th –28th. This year’s Creation main stage line-up includes performances from artists such as Barlow Girl, Bethany Dillon, Casting Crowns, Grits, Israel and New Breed, KJ-52, Kutless, Leeland, Newsboys, Parachute Band, Relient K, Sanctus Real, Switchfoot, Third Day, Thousand Foot Krutch, new artists Aaron Shust and Ayiesha Woods and MSN’s 2006 Artist of the Year, David Crowder Band. Speakers include Bob Lenz, Jay and Laura Laffoon, Duffy Robbins, Margaret Copeland and Ron Luce, Founder of Teen Mania Ministries. The Tooth and Nail Records sponsored “X2007 Fringe Stage,” featuring alternative Christian artists, has lined up Emery, Family Force 5, Fireflight, Flyleaf, Hawk Nelson, John Reuben, Mainstay, MOC, Pillar, Project 86, Superchick and Seventh Day Slumber, whose lead singer, Joseph Rojas, will also share his testimony. Mark Matlock, Reggie Dabbs and Zoro will also be speaking from this stage. A new addition to Creation 2007 is the Generator Stage, featuring regional talent. Extra features of the summer events include a Candlelight Service, Prayer Tent, fireworks, an Acoustic Café, gear giveaways, Youth Leader Seminars, food court and exhibit area, water baptisms, and much more. Both festivals also offer a training conference for worship leaders, musicians and writers each afternoon, offering workshops on songwriting and hands-on band training. The late night Creation Café returns once again with comedian Darren Streblow, a Blues Night with Jimmie Bratcher, and the 2nd Annual Indiescovery Ultimate Battle of the Bands, giving the winner the opportunity to open Saturday’s Fringe Stage and record a demo for a major Christian Record label.
