Indelible, distributed by Word, offers support to grassroots musicians who represent and speak to the diverse and undeterred. "Velocity" takes its message from Isaiah 51:5, reminding us that God is moving today and urgently bringing salvation. "This project features artists who act on that reality daily," says president Chris Thomason. "When we can bring them together in one place the momentum is unmistakable."
Independent artists contributing songs to Velocity are worship leaders, singer-songwriters and rock bands, including Spur58, Alli Rogers, Heather Powers, Josh Fox, Go Deep, Christopher Williams, The Longing, Vapor, Ronnie Freeman, Axiom, Among Thorns and Tenth Avenue North. Thomason says that each of these artists are ministers before they are musicians, desiring to move people closer to God.
Indelible is planning several Velocity live touring events in the fall of 2006, sponsored by World Vision.
