Curb recording artist and GMA's reigning Female Vocalist of the Year, Natalie Grant, has completed work on her seventh album and first studio recording in two years.

On the heels of her 2005 watershed release, "Awaken," which poised Grant to become Christian music’s top-selling Adult Contemporary female solo artist in both 2005 and 2006, the forthcoming project, produced by Grant’s husband, Bernie Herms, and longtime collaborator Shaun Shankel, is slated for release later this year.

Following the birth of her twin daughters last week, Grant will return to the spotlight on April 25 as co-host of The 38th Annual GMA Dove Awards. The show will also feature co-hosts Brian Littrell and Donnie McClurkin and is scheduled to air in national syndication this May. In addition to co-hosting, Grant has again been nominated for the prestigious Female Vocalist of the Year award.

Gospel Music Channel cameras have been following Grant for months—and were rolling on arrival day of the twins—for an original new television special, which will offer viewers a glimpse into her life as she prepares for motherhood. The nation's only 24-hour, all Gospel/Christian music television network will premiere the special this Mother's Day weekend.

Continuing her role with Women of Faith’s “The Revolve Tour” for teen girls, Grant will be a featured speaker and performer on the organization’s 2007 tour. Participating in “The Revolve Tour” since its inception in 2005, Grant, who overcame a battle with bulimia as a young adult, presents a message on self-esteem at the youth events.

Throughout the year, Grant will continue her groundbreaking campaign to raise awareness about international human trafficking. Educating audiences on the plight of children around the world who have been forced into the sex trade, one of Grant’s most significant career accomplishments is her HOME Foundation, which raises funds for various human trafficking-related relief efforts.

Recognized as Christian music’s top-selling Adult Contemporary female solo artist for a second consecutive year in 2006, Grant also made appearances on CNN and FOX News last year, in addition to being featured in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which was broadcast on NBC. She culminated the year with her “Believe” Christmas Tour, hitting 13 cities with special guest Anthony Evans.

The title-cut and fifth single from Awaken is currently at #17 on R&R’s February 23 Christian AC National Airplay chart. The album has produced the hit singles “Live For Today,” “What Are You Waiting For,” “The Real Me” and Grant’s signature song, “Held,” which remained on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart for 20 weeks and was a #1 hit at Christian radio in 2005.
