The Peasall Sisters of bluegrass fame are remarkably easy-going and balanced. They kept things low-key in our recent interview. And orderly. Boy, are they orderly!
It must be great to do ministry together with your family. What is your favorite part of having the family so involved together?Sarah (18) said: "I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love, minister through music, with the people I love most. My favorite thing about having the whole family involved is that I have the best traveling support group! We encourage each other to stay firm in our relationships with God." Hannah (14) said: "My favorite part of having a family so involved with our music is that we get to be with them all the time which, although it does have its down side, is way better than the alternative." Leah (12) said: "It is really amazing to be together. I so wish that other families could experience what we have. Sure, we can fight, bicker and argue with the best of them, but you have to know how to work it out when you can't just walk away and ignore them. We all love traveling, especially the older three. We usually get along." I know you're out on the road with Shane & Shane, another group whose passion is to see God use their music for His purposes. What did you enjoy most about working with the Shanes?Hannah: "Oh, the Shanes! I miss everyone on that tour so much. But to answer the question, one thing I enjioyed the most about working with them is that they are so passionate about God. They really have hearts for ministry - all of them. Sarah: "The Shanes are awesome! The whole crew is now a part of our family. We had so much fun on the road with them and we can't wait to do it again. We learned alot from them all from how to deal with the business end of things to walking daily with the Lord." Leah: The Shanes and everyone on the "Bluegrass Tour" were just amazing. We have just become one big family and it is so awesome how God crossed our paths. Personally, I loved just hanging out with everyone. I have picked up a new instrument, the cello, from the tour. That's exciting! Over all, though, it was just fun to see God work in all the people, and to hear everyone's testimonies. They are all awesome people. What is your favorite type of venue and why?Leah: "I really like to play old theaters. The history and ecclectic air in those places are phenomonal." Sarah: "I love any venue where the people appreciate and pay attention to our words and music." Hannah: "I don't really have a favorite type of venue, only a favorite type of crowd. I like fun, casual, energetic, (but not annoying) crowds that are really into the music. What five words best describe you?Sarah: "Wonderful, Amazing, Beautiful, Loving, Humble." (Just Kidding) Hannah: "Eccentric, Laid-back, Poetic, Pensive, Kind of a Dork at times." Leah:"Witty, Verbose, Smiling, Blunt, Weird." Favorite super-power if you could have any?Hannah: "This one is tough. There are so many super powers to choose from. I really have no clue... Maybe my fans could help me with this one. Leah: "I would want all of them but most of all I'd probably choose flight. I used to jump off of my bed countless times and try really hard to flail my arms enough to suspend me in the air. Yeah, it never realy worked that well." Sarah:"To Tesser."(Time Travel) See what I mean? Orderly. And the girls can groove too, as you can see by our Suite Review of their "Home To You" album.
