Started by two brothers from Quebec, the Kry is now 4 guys who love God and make deeply worshipful, vertically-directed music, like “God of Infinite Worth.”
Jean-Luc and Yves Laioie started in Quebec's bar scene and, wanting to hit the "big-time," moved to Albuquerque to conquer the USA. God had other plans and it was listening to Albuquerque radio that Jean-Luc first came to Christ. Brother Yves was won a bit later while watching TV in Houston, and they started serving the youth ministry in their local church by providing music. Music which shortly developed into the Kry, an indie band which flies low to the ground media-wise but high in the heavens spiritually. I can't stop listening to "God of Infinite Worth," and I consider it one of the best I've heard in recent years. God of Infinite Worth is a collection of thirteen songs of praise and worship that will usher you into God's presence, released on The Kry's own label, Le Kri Music. Two very talented sideman have joined the Laioie brothers, bass guitarist Nic Rodriguez in 2002 and Steve Marcia in 2004 on electric guitar. The heart of the Kry is to be ministers of The Word through the powerful medium of music to bring people to a knowledge of God's character and give them a clear understanding of the gospel of Jesus. The songs on "God of Infinite Worth" go a long long way in doing that, to my mind. Majestic in the best sense of the word, and deeply moving, they paint a compelling portrait of the Savior they obviously adore. If you're looking for good worship music, the Kry is worth searching out.
