For the past 7 consecutive weeks, Stellar Kart's anthem "Me and Jesus" has held the top spot on Radio and Records CHR charts, as well as 5 weeks on the CRW CHR chart.
This, the band's first number one, breaks through the mold of more traditional bands in the format, as Stellar Kart's song of hope has struck a chord with both programmers and listeners alike.
"Up until a few days ago, I didn't know where I was going with my walk with God, but now I know. One of my best friends told me that after I had told her what was going on in my life, she got into her car and turned on her radio, and the song "Me and Jesus" was playing. When she told me this, I listened to your song and started crying because I knew what God was telling me. He wanted me to know that no matter what; He will will always love me and be there for me. So thanks for making that song. It really touched me." - from a 14 year old from Las Vegas on MySpace.com.
When asked about "Me and Jesus," Adam Agee from the band explained, "This is a song that gives hope and strength to anyone struggling with life. When you feel like giving up, like no one understands what you're going through, like you've got no where else to turn, remember that not only am I there for you, but more importantly, Jesus is always there for you. It's a song of encouragement that lets us know we're never alone." (Click here to read more about Stellar Kart and Adam Agee, in Suite's recent interview)
Also this week (Oct 17-23), Stellar Kart was given a coveted spot on the iTunes "What's Hot" section. Chosen by the staff at iTunes, the "What's Hot" section is one of the most visible locations on the highly traveled music download service.
