Beside his role in the live CD+DVD, "Delirious? Now Is The Time: Live At Willow Creek," Delirious? drummer Stew Smith joins the Ironman Triathlon for charity.
Suite will have more on that upcoming project soon, releasing Oct. 17th, but for now, please read Stew's message below and support him if you can. "I suppose we're used to traveling quite a long way in a day. So in some ways the 20th of August this year is no big deal; I'll be covering about 140 miles. The only difference is that it's my legs alone that are going to be doing the carrying. This is my first Ironman Triathlon, and I'll be in Sherbourne, Dorset for the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and full 26.2 mile marathon. How do I feel? Scared. Very scared. But there's a bigger picture that I've got in mind... I want to raise money to help two amazing charities I know: Links International - They work to empower others to achieve their own destiny. Primary Health Care and Micro-enterprise Development are just two of the ways that are having a huge impact. The Wire - A local charity that provides practical, creative and accessible activities for children, young people and families in Littlehampton, UK. These two charities are great examples of people making a difference in the lives of those who need it. Click here for further details of what I'm doing, and it will also give you the opportunity to join me in helping support these great charities and to help give a whole bunch of kids a touch more hope in their lives. Thank you! Stew For more information on Delirious?, and the band's huge heart for missions, check out their website. Related Articles2006 Online Recap of past year's ministry
