Tammy Trent, I See Beautiful
Singer/songwriter Tammy Trent returns to Christian music with the release of "I See Beautiful" August 1, marking Trent's first full-length release in six years.

Trent stepped away from the studio following the tragic loss of her husband. Featuring 11 tracks that combine Trent's signature pop sound with worship selections and introspective ballads, "I See Beautiful" is an autobiographical snapshot of the love, loss, healing and hope Trent has experienced since her husband's death in a diving accident in 2001.

Highlights of "I See Beautiful" include the title track, Trent's revelation of choosing to see something beautiful in the worst moments of our lives; "Pray," an offering of thanks and reciprocation to those who have interceded on her behalf; "Stop The World," written just days after Trent's loss; and acclaimed worship writer Kathryn Scott's "At The Foot Of The Cross," a deeply personal song for Trent. "I See Beautiful really captures so much of what's important to me, in life and in music," says Trent. "I love the fun, dance songs and the energy of wrapping yourself up in God's life-giving truth. And I can't imagine my life without worship. All these songs are my way of responding to God's sustaining grace in my life."

"I knew it wouldn't be an easy process," Trent says of making "I See Beautiful." "But I had to stop and take a good look at what God has done in my life, what He continues to do with each passing season. He's bringing all the broken pieces back together. It's not perfect, probably never will be, but there's been progress in my life and somehow I wanted to share that with the world." The album's debut single, "Rescue Me," which has been released to Christian radio, is one of the first songs Trent penned following the tragedy. "When you're absolutely broken and you don't know the right prayer, the right words, and you have nothing left to give, there's nothing to do but throw your hands in the air and surrender," Trent says of her motivation behind the song. "In that moment, God is the only answer you need. Somehow, God is enough. Always has been, always will be."

Trent has been a featured speaker and performer at Women of Faith conferences across the country since 2003, and she has also been a part of the organization's REVOLVE Tour for teen girls for the past two years. Her autobiography, "Learning To Breathe Again: Choosing Life and Finding Hope After A Shattering Loss", released in 2004 from W Publishing, followed by the 2005 devotional/gift book, "Beyond The Sorrow: There's Hope in the Promises of God".
