Indelible band The Longing has committed to a spring residency with citywide, multi-denominational ministry CharlotteONE.

Beginning Jan. 16, the band will lead worship for more than 400 local young adults who attend the program weekly.

CharlotteONE is a unified movement of local churches in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Its vision is to offer a mid-week worship/teaching gathering across denominational lines in order for young adults and singles in the metro area to come together with ONE heart, ONE mind, and ONE voice to worship ONE God as ONE people. The meetings will include speakers such as Derwin Gray, Stewart Hall, Clayton King, Joel Thomas as well as Dave Edwards, concerts, and prayer events, among other activities. The Longing has been tapped to head up the ministry’s music program through May.

“It’s a privilege and an honor to entrust The Longing with this unified movement of local churches called CharlotteONE,” comments David Hickman, executive director. “We believe what God is doing among young adults in our city will have a ripple effect on our state, nation and world, and it’s no mistake that The Longing will be leading the charge.”

“It’s incredible to be able to participate in what God is obviously doing through CharlotteONE,” says The Longing frontman Jason Ingram. “It was our dream for The Longing to have opportunities to join others in awesome expressions of worship. This is the time and this is the event!”

Additional details, including a listing of speakers, times, and venue directions, are available at www.CharlotteONE.org.

The Longing will be touring most weekends this spring and is planning a summer worship tour. For more information on The Longing and upcoming concert dates, visit www.TheLonging.org.
