After a decade, Nathan & Christy Nockels put Watermark to rest. Closing out with an 18-city farewell tour, and swansong “A Grateful People,” their goodbye is sweet.

After a decade of leading worship, extensive touring and recording as Watermark, and parenting two young children, Nathan and Christy Nockels say something's gotta give. "A Grateful People," supported by an 18-city farewell tour, is their swansong, released March 14 and already scoring their seventh No. 1 single, "Light of the World." The album was recorded at the home church with guest appearances from friends Chris Tomlin, Ed Cash, Shane & Shane, Point of Grace, and Charlie Hall. Critics have hailed the album as the perfect culmination to a decade of music and ministry.

The couple say they knew this change was coming, and they say their recent collaboration with Michael W. Smith on his "Healing Rain Tour" only confirmed what had been in their hearts for a while. Smith will miss them, saying, "Christy Nockels creates space for worship like few artists I've been around. Whether it's 10,000 people at a Passion conference or an intimate gathering, Christy is a worshipper who leads us all." He is not the only one who will miss this vital duo with the hearts of servants.
