Flicker Records is excited to announce that they have signed indie-pop/rock band Nevertheless and the September 19th release of their debut. “Live Like We’re Alive.”

"I heard seeds of greatness on the band's indie EP, along with an honesty and passion in Josh's voice that immediately got my attention," remarks Blaine Barcus, of Provident Label Group. "I felt that same honesty and passion upon seeing their show. Nevertheless is a band of guys who are determined to make great music, but equally determined to communicate hope in a culture spinning out of control."

It is this determination that gives Nevertheless an asterisk amidst their contemporaries in indie pop/rock. At first listen they would fit nicely in the vein of such bands as Jimmy Eat World, Further Seems Forever, and Cartel, except for one difference: Their songs deal in as much spiritual substance as they do in relationship experience. On "Live Like We're Alive," the band delivers diversity in emotion as well as depth in empathy, which are traits that are seldom found in the current rock context.

Nevertheless' first radio single (and music video), "The Real," will hit radio this July, with the video following in early August, and having hit several summer festivals already, the band will continue to hit the road on Shoutfest dates and the Accelerate Tour this fall with two other new bands turning heads, Decyfer Down and Red.
