Harmony Honors

The Southern Gospel Music Guild (SGMG) held the Third Annual Harmony Honors on Jan. 9.


The awards were handed out during a ceremony held at the Renaissance Center in Dickson, Tenn. Hosted by Michael Booth of the Booth Brothers and Sonya Isaacs of the Isaacs, the evening also featured several performances.

The Booth Brothers took home a total of three Harmony Honors, including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for "He Saw It All." Ronnie Booth was named Male Vocalist of the Year with Karen Peck Gooch of Karen Peck & New River, receiving Female Vocalist of the Year honors for the third straight year. Album of the Year honors were shared by the Gaither Vocal Band (Give It Away) and The Perrys (Come Thirsty).

The Booth Brothers, Karen Peck & New River and The Perrys also were among the evening's performers along with Mike and Kelly Bowling, T. Graham Brown, the Crabb Family, Taranda Greene, the Isaacs, the McGruders, the McRaes, Lynda Randle, Ricky Atkinson and Compassion, and Three Bridges. The Harmony Honors were created by the SGMG to honor those in the southern gospel music industry, by the industry, for their accomplishments over the past year.
