As the sole vocalist performing with the symphonies, Kathy will be singing a selection of Christmas songs—many of which are off her Christmas album, "A Sentimental Christmas."
“It has been my musical desire for years to work with symphonies and do some torch/jazz music. In fact my new CD, "The Story of Love," has elements of that on it. So it is with great delight, in this time of my life, that I am getting these wonderful opportunities to do what I love,” says Kathy.
The songs she will be performing—after the first half of the orchestras’ Christmas music—include “Sleigh Ride,” “It's the Most” (which Kathy sings with Andy Williams on A Sentimental Christmas), “I'll be Home”, and “Let it Snow”, “Pick Yourself Up”, “The Christmas Song”, ”Somewhere over the Rainbow”, as well as “Goodbye for Now”, “Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, “Winter Wonderland”, and “My Life is in your Hands.”
On Thursday, December 14th, Kathy will be performing with the Symphony Arlington at the MetroCenter in Arlington, Texas, then she will be performing with the Garland Symphony Orchestra at the Granville Arts Center in Garland, Texas, on Friday, December 15th, and on Saturday, December 16th, she will be performing with the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra at the Irving Arts Center in Irving.
