It will rebroadcast for 2 consecutive days, as well as being seen on all JetBlue Airlines flights over the weekend.
Taped live in front of a studio audience, CD USA is a weekly hour-long, music TV series that features up to 6 live innovatively staged performances in High Definition with celebrity interviews, music videos and news. Recent in-studio performances and interviews include Kelly Clarkson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Goo Goo Dolls, Lifehouse, Switchfoot, Aly & AJ and many more. A spin-off of the immensely popular British program CD UK, CD USA is produced by Blaze Television for broadcast exclusively on DIRECTV.
MercyMe is also conducting a fun campaign on their MySpace site. The band promised their "friends" that once they reached 10,000 friends they would write a special exclusive song just for MySpace, and then a new song for each additional 1,000 friends. This promise has taken off and they are now up to nearly 14,000 friends, and staying true to their agreement, are putting up new songs each time. The latest song is available on the media player, and the previously recorded songs (along with a "campaign speech" from lead singer Bart Millard) are archived in links on the left side of the page under Millard's "Uncle Sam" photo. Check it out! And for everything you could possibly want to know about the great MercyMe, click here.
