The Council was established to recognize the important contributions Americans of all ages are making within their communities through service and civic engagement. Administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the Council brings together leaders from the worlds of business, entertainment, sports, education, government, nonprofits, and the media.
It was actually back in January when Smitty first was named to the Council, but God has advanced him even further now. The White House recently announced that the President has asked that Michael be confirmed as Vice Chair of that council.
