Inpop recording artist newsboys supports its Oct. 31 album release, "GO," with a mini-tour throughout Scandinavia, Russia, Asia and Canada.

On Sunday, Nov. 19, newsboys made history as the first CCM act to play in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Headlining Finland’s Maata Nakyvissa Festival earlier this month, newsboys additionally held concerts in Bergen, Norway and Aarhus, Denmark, before capping off its initial run abroad with the Prishestvie Rock Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia. Performing at LDM Youth Palace, in the heart of the city, newsboys drew an audience of nearly 1,000 youth. This is the first publicized public appearance by a CCM artist in St. Petersburg.

“Jesus’ last words on earth were to ‘go and make disciples of all nations,’” comments newsboys manager Wes Campbell. “Over the last few years, newsboys has made a serious effort to do just that, bringing the excitement and passion they have in their live concerts to masses all around the world. From Uganda to Morocco, Israel to China, the newsboys are bringing the message of salvation to everyone they can.”

This jaunt overseas along with dates in Asia next month and Canada come January preface the U.S. leg of newsboys’ 2007 “GO” tour. Kicking off Feb. 16, the “GO” tour will visit more than 40 cities, including Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and Dallas. For more information, visit: www.newsboys.com.
