Set on more than 400 acres of wooded land adjacent to the lake, the event will combine Christian entertainment with outdoor activities. Organizers have selected Smithville Lake based on its recreational amenities and close proximity to Kansas City, 12 miles away.
One Way 2006 will provide attendees a full weekend of activities. 3 stages will feature more than 50 acts from a variety of musical genres, including Newsboys, tobyMac, Jars of Clay, Jeremy Camp, Kutless, Pillar, Hawk Nelson, KJ-52, Skillet, Seventh Day Slumber, Bethany Dillon, Superchic[k], Matthew West, Sanctus Real, Falling Up, The Afters, John Reuben, Aaron Shust and 40 additional acts.
There will also be a variety of interactive booths, speakers, kid's activities, and numerous outdoor programming elements, such as mountain biking, disc golf, wind surfing, nature hikes, a swimming area and much more. More than 20 food and beverage vendors will offer eats and treats and the One Way General Store will be open 24 hours. Said Ericka Morrow, co-director of the One Way Festival, "Once you hit the One Way site, you won't want to leave the grounds the entire weekend, and you won't need to. It's a celebration and total outdoor experience focusing on fellowship, friends and great memories."
