Bishop T.D. Jakes has signed a distribution agreement between his Dexterity Sounds label and Rhino Entertainment, a division of the Warner Music Group. "What a
pleasure and a privilege to record the Grace project in Kenya," says
Bishop Jakes. “The CD will always remind me of the people of Kenya,
and will stand as a stirring testament to our missionary work in that
country and around the world."
In addition to releasing new projects by artists signed to Dexterity
Sounds, the label will also actively develop a gospel music reissue
CD series that draws on the music vaults of WMG labels such as Word
Records, Elektra, Warner Bros. and Atlantic Records.
The new Potter’s House Choir CD project, “Grace – Live in Kenya,” is
scheduled to release on March 20, 2007. Recorded live in Kenya,
Africa before a staggering outdoor audience one million strong, the
project boasts 13 powerful songs crafted for Sunday morning worship
services. The lead single, 'There is a Sound', is a congregational
sing-a-long song that is being shipped to gospel radio while a video
of the tune, is being sent to video outlets.
"We are extremely excited about this project,” says Dexterity Sounds
Operations Manager, Ivy McGregor. “The synergy of the experience is
captured and felt in the music. We are passionate, dedicated and
committed to this powerful message of GRACE reaching the world!
Another highlight of this project is that it will benefit the S.O.W.
[Save Our World] campaign to bring more attention to the need for
world relief in countries such as Kenya.”
