Cottrell is currently in-studio recording his debut project with the label, to release on November 7.
Since graduating with a church music degree from Belmont University in 1992, Travis Cottrell has made his mark as a songwriter, session singer, and music arranger. He has also completed many print musical projects, including the Dove-nominated projects Hymns For Praise and Worship (Word) and Redemption: The Power of the Cross (Brentwood-Benson).
Cottrell's longtime passion, however, is leading worship. The worship leader at Two Rivers Baptist Church, a 6,000-plus-member congregation in Nashville, Tenn., from 1994-1995, he has additionally facilitated music for many nationally known speakers and pastors. Today, Cottrell's ministry is largely tied to his role as primary worship leader for national Beth Moore conferences in conjunction with her Living Proof Ministries. He will lead worship at all of the Beth Moore conferences for the '06-'07 season.
With four previous solo records to his credit, Cottrell looks forward to what he calls a "classical pop album with Appalachian influences." Produced by Kent Hooper (Scott Krippayne, Charlie Hall, Clay Crosse), his fifth project releases November 7 from Indelible.
